My coworker friend Maria Cristina has showed me last Friday a nice source code engine named Krugle.
A fun test is to type a very generic name in the culture of Open Source software like... "dungeon" and see what's shown =)

As far as I've seen it looks at SourceForge, Apache, java.net and others.
